There are also many facts that make me worry about life in Kenya

• The disparity among rich and poor in Kenya is massive. The rich are very very rich while the poor are very very poor.
• Kenya has among the highest paid politicians in the world and despite widespread public opinion they manage to enact legislation to raise their salaries.
• Lack of infrastructure especially in roads, water, sanitation and healthcare.
• As of 2012 it is estimated that 41% of the Kenyan population live below the poverty line.
• Corruption is a fact of life in Kenya.
• Frequent occurrence of ethnic conflicts the worst of which took place in 2008 leading to the deaths of over 1,300 people.
• Widespread insecurity especially at night.
• Lack of trust by the public in the police and the government. 
• Mob justice.
